Mischa Maisky, Julian Rachlin and Nobuko Imai, three of the world's finest instrumentalists, come together in a string trio arrangement that brings out the melodiousness of Bach's towering keyboard masterpiece and illuminates its inner workings. Violinst-conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky made this sensitive transcription in 1985 to celebrate the composer's tercentenary and dedicated it to the memory of pianist Glenn Gould.
